Going for $6 Million: Let's Roll!

By Jeffrey Goldberg

Dear Members of the Campaign CJA 2004

Our efforts are now underway and we are in the final planning stages of the 2004 Combined Jewish Appeal (CJA). As you are aware, this year's campaign comes at a crucial time for Jews in Canada and around the world.

We are continuing to fight global anti-Semitic and anti-Israel sentiments while Israel is vigilant in its efforts to create peace in the Middle East. As members of the Jewish community, it is our job to make sure that we have the resources to combat this disturbing trend and to make sure that our community continues to flourish and grow. This is where each of you comes into the picture. As team captains and canvassers, you are the core of this campaign. It is through your efforts that we will be able to reach our goal. All of you are donating you time and efforts to reach out to those you know and some that you do not. It is with this combined effort that we are going to be able to reach our $6 million goal. Henry Winkler has spoken to Jewish communities across North America and will provide us with a call to action in a world where anti-Semitism and anti-Israel forces are threatening our global Jewish community. And, ask your kids who Hank Zipzer is and they will tell you he's the Grade 4 star of Henry Winkler's children's book series.
