Jeffrey Goldberg: paying back Dad

Born and raised in Vancouver, General CJA Campaign Chair Jeffery Goldberg is a product of the local Jewish Community system. Growing up he attended Vancouver Talmud Torah, Camp Hatikvah and spent many hours at the Jewish Community Centre.

Jeffrey started his participation with CJA at a young age, when at 6 he pledged $1.00 to the CJA Junior Campaign. He credits his father as the reason for his active participation in CJA campaigns, "I think I have something to offer, to pay back for the work my father and his contemporaries did in setting elements of our community in place.

I also feel I can make a difference in the campaign which strengthens the ties that bind the Jewish community together."

Jeffrey has achieved many goals and milestones throughout his years with the Jewish federation. However his best memories is working with Mark James as captains of a business division, and under their leadership creating a 31% increase.

When not working on the Campaign (which is not very often), Jeffrey runs Custom Protect Ear, "Makers of the Smartest Hearing Protection in the World."

>>> cja canvassers of note

Eve Camerman has helped give the women's division a real jumpstart on the campaign. She has completed 22 out of her 30 cards and helped raise $22,135 for the Sapphire division.

Larry Kahn is blazing a trail in the Lawyers division. He has closed 20 out of his 27 cards and has helped raise $17,700. Larry is also taking a lead role in the Richmond community's CJA efforts.

Congratulations to both of you for a job well done!
