One Couple’s Response to Antisemitism in Canada

Featuring Elizabeth and Tony Comper

Federation Annual General Meeting

Monday May 29, 2006 7:30 PM Free Admission
Wosk Auditorium, Jewish Community Centre, 950 West 41st Avenue, Vancouver

In May 2005, BMO Financial Group President and CEO Tony Comper and his wife Elizabeth founded FAST — Fighting Antisemitism Together — a coalition of non-Jewish Canadian community and business leaders dedicated to speaking out against humanity’s oldest hatred. Working in partnership with the Canadian Jewish Congress, FAST has developed an educational package Choose Your Voice now being distributed in Ontario public schools. The program will expand to other provinces across Canada in the months ahead. Join us for the first Western Canada public screening of the educational video Choose Your Voice. Through personal initiative and leadership, the Compers are challenging all Canadians to live by the standards of equality, fairness, and tolerance that are at the heart of Canadian values.
