ISRAELI AND CANADIAN STUDENTS BUILD LASTING CONNECTIONS
Over Chanukah, 10 students from Har Vagai High School in our partnership region of the Upper Galilee Panhandle, were in Vancouver visiting their sister school, King David High School (KDHS). The students were here as part of the Gesher Chai (Living Bridge) aspect of Jewish Federation’s Partnership 2000 program with the Upper Galilee Panhandle region in Israel. MERCAZ MA'ASE WINS PRESTIGIOUS AWARD
Recently, Mercaz Ma'ase – a Jewish Federation-funded volunteer program for at-risk youth in Israel - was honoured with the prestigious Social Affairs Prize from the Sderot Conference for Society. The conference has been an important national annual event for the past eight years in Sderot, a town that has suffered thousands of rocket attacks from Gaza. MORE |

The Jewish Museum and Archives of British Columbia is looking for photographs of youth groups from any date and from anywhere in British Columbia. The JCCGV's Bagel Club runs a weekly community kitchen program open to all adults with special needs, Mondays from 5-7:00 p.m. in the program kitchen at the JCCGV.
