UPCOMING ISRAEL EVENTS
Spring is here, and our Israel and Overseas Affairs department is busy planning this year’s Yom Hazikaron and Yom Ha’atzmaut community events.
Yom Hazikaron – May 8th
Yom Hazikaron, Israel’s remembrance day, is Sunday, May 8th. Join us at 7:30 p.m. at Temple Sholom for a memorial service honouring the fallen soldiers and civilians killed in wars and terror attacks. The event will follow the traditional Israeli Yom Hazikaron service format. The event is free and open to everyone; community members are encouraged to attend. Click here for details.
Yom Ha’atzmaut Celebration – May 9th
Celebrate Yom Ha’atzmaut with Mozaica, Israel’s rising stars, who will be making their Canadian debut in Vancouver. Following in the tradition of the IDF entertainment troupes, Mozaica will have you dancing in the aisles to their musical mosaic of modern Israeli vibes and contemporary interpretations of Israeli classics.
