MISSION TO ISRAEL TO CELEBRATE 65 YEARS

Jewish Federation invites you to join mission chair, Anita Silber, on the trip of a lifetime. You’ll experience Israel in a new way and connect with your history and heritage, all while gaining a deeper understanding of Jewish Federation’s work and impact.

Over nine days you’ll visit Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, the Golan Heights and our partnership region in the Galilee. You’ll forge a special connection with the land and the people of Israel, and make memories that will last a lifetime.

Continue your experience at Jewish Federations of North America’s General Assembly in Jerusalem November 10-13. The GA is only held in Israel once every five years.

LOCAL STUDENTS VISIT SISTER SCHOOL IN ISRAEL

It’s been the best mifgash (encounter) ever, or so they tell us! Students from Har Vagai visited Vancouver earlier in the year, so it’s been a week of re-connecting with friends and with Israel. MORE

 

 

JEWISH EDUCATION TASK FORCE

Jewish Federation has recently convened a Jewish Education Task Force, chaired by Rob Greenwald and Risa Levine. The task force brings together a diverse group of committed community volunteers who will work together over the next year to guide the development of community strategies and resources to strengthen the reach and impact of Jewish education in our community. The Hebrew Free Loan Association offers interest free loans up to to a maximum of $7,000 for personal loans, $10,000 for education and special purpose loans, and up to $750 for emergency loans to members of the Jewish community to help deal with family emergencies, start a new career, pursue education, settle new immigrants, deal with business failure, or generally make ends meet. The L’Chaim Adult Day Centre has space available for the beloved fragile older adult in your life.
