PARTNERSHIP MEETINGS SHOWCASE PROGRESS IN NORTHERN ISRAEL

Five members of Jewish Federation’s Israel and Overseas Committee, led by Jewish Federation’s director of Israel and overseas affairs, If’at Eilon-Heiber, recently returned from Partnership2Gether (P2G) meetings in our Israeli partnership region, Etzba HaGalil (the Galilee Panhandle).

Jewish Federation has partnered with a series of successful programs in Northern Israel that are helping break the cycle of poverty in the region, and committee members were there to explore new programs that will contribute to these ongoing efforts. They will report back and, by March 2014, recommend the most effective new proposals to fund.

The Galilee Panhandle has Unique Needs
Our partnership region is geographically, economically and politically isolated from the Israel’s centre. Situated in the hills along the Lebanese and Syrian borders, the area bears the brunt of attacks when tensions flare. MORE
