Celebrate Tu B’Shevat with PJ Library!
On January 27th, PJ Library will celebrate Tu B’Shevat: the Jewish New Year for the trees. Come learn about the original Jewish Earth Day, and enjoy a free story time and make a craft.
The PJ Library is a unique program that offers free, high-quality, age-appropriate Jewish children’s books and music to families on a monthly basis - no strings attached. Unlike other libraries, this one comes right to your home, with a new book or CD sent directly to participating families each month. MORE

25TH ANNUAL PUBLIC SPEAKING CONTEST - FEBRUARY 27TH
On February 27th, students in grades four through seven will summon their courage, take a deep breath and participate in the 25th Annual Public Speaking Contest. While students’ speeches may be only three minutes in duration, they reflect substantial preparation, which includes: research, organizing thoughtful opinions and ideas , writing and practicing speaking in front of an audience. The Hebrew Free Loan Association offers interest free loans up to to a maximum of $7,000 for personal loans, $10,000 for education and special purpose loans, and up to $750 for emergency loans to members of the Jewish community to help deal with family emergencies, start a new career, pursue education, settle new immigrants, deal with business failure, or generally make ends meet. The L’Chaim Adult Day Centre has space available for the beloved fragile older adult in your life.

The JCCGV's Bagel Club runs a weekly community kitchen program open to all adults with special needs, Mondays from 5-7:00 p.m. in the program kitchen at the JCCGV.
