LOCAL YOUNG ADULTS INSPIRED BY CNN HERO Dr. Rick Hodes recently visited our community and spent time with a group of local young adults. He inspired them with his accounts of the lifesaving humanitarian work in Ethiopia to which he has devoted his career. This very special evening was hosted by Axis, Jewish Federation’s new young adult program, and Moishe House. Dr. Hodes has lived and worked in Ethiopia for over 20 years as the medical director for the Joint Distribution Committee (JDC), a Jewish organization that provides non-sectarian humanitarian assistance in more than 70 countries, and is supported by the Federation Annual Campaign.
