ISRAELI PERFORMERS VITAL TO CHUTZPAH! FESTIVAL

Chutzpah! The Lisa Nemetz International Jewish Performing Arts Festival is back, with most performances between February 22nd and March9th. Visit chutzpahfestival.com for ticket and show details.

How do you make a performing arts festival attractive to art enthusiasts all over the Lower Mainland, while keeping a distinctly Jewish flavour? Mary-Louise Albert, artistic managing director for the 14th annual Chutzpah! Festival featuring dynamic dance, theatre, music and comedy, has it down to a science. Her secret sauce: scouting and bringing in unique and renowned Jewish artists from Israel.

Invest in Israeli Performers, Invest in Israel
Both Jewish Federation, which helps fund the festival’s Israeli performers, and Chutzpah! are deeply committed to promoting Israeli artists. This year, several dynamic artists from Israel, including the Uri Gurvich Ensemble, Yemen Blues, Idan Sharabi and Dancers, and Dudu Tassa and the Kuwaitis, will perform at Chutzpah! By supporting these Israeli artists, Mary-Louise believes we support Israel. MORE
