THE SECRET OF THE FEDERATION ANNUAL CAMPAIGN’S SUCCESS

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has. –Margaret Mead

The Federation Annual Campaign has a secret to its success every year: volunteers. Comparatively in the professional fundraising world, Federation uses much fewer paid staff than average to raise campaign’s fundraising goal. This is only possible because hundreds of volunteers pour their time and expertise into campaign every year and make the philanthropic work of Jewish Federation possible.

Volunteers are the Backbone of Campaign
The Federation Annual Campaign is built on a strong foundation of volunteer leadership. These volunteer leaders help Jewish Federation staff plan, run and evaluate the campaign every year. As well, over 300 volunteers call and canvas the community for pledges and gifts, bringing in more together than staff members could alone. This model makes campaign community-focused in two ways.
